Deyana Rojan

Deyana Rojan joined Occuity as a Laboratory Technician this November. With a MSc in Medical Biotechnology, she plays a pivotal part in supporting manufacturing operations and device testing. Her contribution, however, also extends beyond manufacturing, as she also supports the engineering team in constructing R&D prototypes. Leveraging her experience from a previous role, she brings a wealth of practical and technical skills, invaluable for ensuring the smooth production of Occuity's cutting-edge products.


Despite only recently joining Occuity, she has already demonstrated significant value to both the Quality Management System (QMS) and engineering teams by bringing a vibrant and dynamic perspective attributed to her diverse interests. Her proactive approach and quick integration into the company's processes underscore her potential for continued success in her role.


We had the opportunity to catch up with Deyana and reflect on her experiences as a valuable member of the Occuity team. During our conversation, we also delve into the projects that excite her the most.


How did you get involved in Occuity and why did you feel it was the right thing for you?


I first learned about the exciting opportunity at Occuity through LinkedIn. Upon exploring the company website, I was drawn to Occuity for two main reasons. Firstly, I was impressed by Occuity's remarkable achievements at such an early stage. Occuity had already achieved notable successes. Secondly, As I went through the insights shared by team members, I realized that Occuity was not just a workplace; it was an environment that nurtured young talents and provided opportunities for growth.

What is your position at Occuity and why is your role important?


Deyana Rojan

At Occuity, I hold the position of Laboratory Technician, where my responsibilities include preparing sub-assemblies and tracking components. Additionally, I am involved in stock control, document control, and assisting in the testing of devices. My role is crucial to the company's operations as it directly contributes to the seamless functioning of the production process.


What do you find most exciting or unique about Occuity's technology/products?


The innovation behind these technologies is truly remarkable, offering a unique solution that is both convenient and environmentally friendly. The fact that Occuity's technology can be utilised for human disease screening and veterinary practices adds another layer of versatility and impact.

The portability and non-contact nature of the devices not only make them cutting-edge but also open up possibilities for a wide range of applications.
