Occuity Partners with Indo Optical as Exclusive Distributor of PM1 Pachymeter

Occuity has recently unveiled an exciting partnership with Indo Optical, a multinational corporation boasting over seven decades of experience in the optical industry and a dominant presence in the Spanish market. This strategic partnership designates Indo Optical as the exclusive distributor for Occuity's revolutionary product, the PM1 Pachymeter, within the regions of Spain and Portugal.

The PM1 Pachymeter is a revolutionary handheld, non-contact device that enables the swift and accurate measurement of central corneal thickness in just a matter of seconds. Unlike conventional handheld ultrasound devices, the PM1 boasts an exceptional feature: it operates without the need for any consumables, delivering an unparalleled experience for both patients and practitioners. Its cutting-edge technology eliminates the need for multiple contacts with the cornea, marking a significant leap forward in the realm of ophthalmic diagnostics.

“Indo is immensely proud to have been trusted by Occuity, a company renowned for its focus on new technologies, with this exclusive alliance to distribute its products in the Spanish and Portuguese markets. We are delighted to celebrate this announcement and are eagerly looking forward to offering Occuity's products to address the diagnostic needs of our clients in the vision care profession.
Xavier Fontova Martínez

Xavier continued, "Personally, I am immensely pleased that this partnership will contribute to maintaining Indo's status as a global technological leader in vision. By adding the latest innovations to our portfolio, such as Occuity's advanced PM1 device, we're enabling eye care professionals to achieve more accurate and straightforward diagnostic measurements. I am confident that the upcoming Occuity products, including the much-anticipated AX1, will revolutionise the diagnostic measurement approach for certain pathologies."

Mark Jenkins, Chief Operating Officer at Occuity, enthusiastically announced the collaboration, stating,

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Indo Optical, a highly reputable company that maintains its position as the primary distributor of ophthalmic equipment in the Spanish market. Having met the team at the ESCRS Annual Congress in September in Vienna, we have firsthand experience of Indo’s steadfast dedication to sourcing and promoting top-quality products, which undeniably positions them as the perfect partner for Occuity's innovative products.

We look forward to working with them to introduce the PM1 and Occuity's future devices, such as the AX1 Axiometer™, to a wide audience across Spain and Portugal.”

The PM1 Pachymeter is awaiting CE certification ahead of a market launch in 2024. For more information about Occuity and the PM1 Pachymeter, please visit www.occuity.com/pm1 or contact Indo Optical.
