Anna and Monica join the marketing team to support growth.

Updated: Nov 22, 2021

This week we’re delighted to have welcomed two more people to our highly experienced team. Anna Signoretto and Monica Giudice, who are curiously both originally from Italy, joined the company as Digital Marketing Executives to assist on some of our exciting projects including our crowdfunding campaign and launch of the PM1 Pachymeter.

Occuity, which is researching and developing screening, monitoring and diagnostic hand-held non-contact optical devices, completed a successful round of investments with Angel Investment Network just a few month ago and has since doubled the size of our team.

Anna and Monica, immediately started working with the Head of Digital Marketing Richard Kadri-Langford, who commented on the news:

"It's a very exciting and busy time for us at Occuity, as we look to launch a revolutionary new product into the ophthalmic market whilst simultaneously conducting an investment round. We are growing the team to support our rapid development and Anna and Monica, who were selected through a very competitive application process, will play an important, hands-on role. It's fantastic to welcome them both to the team."

Anna is a final-year student studying "Business Administration and Management" at the University of Venice. Originally from Verona, she likes reading books, listening to music and travelling. Having played the piano at a competitive level since primary school, she then got admitted to the Conservatory of Music of Venice for a bachelor in Piano Performance before opting for a career in business. For the future she sees herself in a leadership position, possibly in a creative industry.

Monica is a first-year postgraduate degree student studying "Marketing in Global Markets" at the University of Milan. She’s a professional singer currently collaborating with a producer back in Milan. She loves travelling, foreign languages and, in particular, Asian culture. In the next years she aims to build her knowledge and become an expert in Digital Marketing.

Gathering their first impressions after the first challenging and thrilling week, Anna and Monica both mentioned how working in a start-up can give infinitely more chances to get involved with Anna commenting:

"From the very first day we realised just how much we were going to learn and it was clear we were going to have a hands on role. We’re both very much looking forward to the next months."
