A Reflection on International Women’s Day

So Tuesday was a day of celebration; a day to celebrate the achievements of women around the world - in the past, the present and of course, in the future. Each year, International Women’s Day aims to raise the profile of women around the world and acknowledge the immeasurable contribution that they make - and the impact that they have - on every aspect of everyday life. It was great to see my timeline on LinkedIn and Facebook and Instagram fill up with shout-outs from and about lots of different, but equally inspirational women from all walks of life.

This year, the theme for International Women’s Day was “break the bias”, where we are all urged to call out every instance of gender bias and inequality that we see around us daily - and ultimately strive towards a gender-equal world.

Here at Occuity, a company which prides itself on its diversity and inclusion, we like to think that we celebrate the amazing women that we have working here, every single day. Here, we celebrate the fact that women hold key roles across all areas of our firm – R&D; operations; engineering; supply chain; production; marketing; finance and grant-writing. As we strive towards a world free from bias, stereotypes and discrimination, at Occuity, we are keen to ensure our teams are balanced and that excellence of performance, knowledge and capability is recognised and rewarded without recourse to any other factors. We invite more women to join us and add to the already incredible team of talented women that we count ourselves very lucky to have.

Occuity would therefore like to thank its brilliant, trailblazing, naturally inquisitive, and inspiring women for the amazing contribution that they make to its success, and we look forward to welcoming many more women to our team in the near future.

We are currently hiring across several areas of our business, including hardware, engineering, and operations. If you would like to join an organisation that values being at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and where you can make a vital contribution to our future achievements, then please visit our careers page or click on the link below to view our open roles.
