Occuity have secured grant funding from Innovate UK to further enhance and test their novel technology for monitoring glucose levels through they eye.
The grant funding means Occuity can accelerate their development and testing of the device to the point of running secondary clinical trials.
Working by analysing the makeup of light reflected from the eye, Occuity have already shown that they can measure a correlation between blood glucose in the eye and that shown in a gold standard blood test and the award of this grant provides additional resource to create a step change in how people are able to measure their blood glucose.
