Maciej Mackowiak, Process Engineer

Maciej joined Occuity in February 2021 as a part of the Design and Development team.

He has nearly a decade of experience in process engineering working in AR/VR opto-mechanical electronics and ophthalmic medical devices industry.


After completing his MSc in Chemical Engineering in 2011 at Poznan University of Technology, he moved to Oxford in UK to support development of a fluid-filled adjustable lens technology with Adlens. What started as an ophthalmic medical device evolved into an international AR/VR project in collaboration with some of the world’s leading AR/VR optical companies.


For nearly a decade Maciej has delivered several dozens of process solutions solving the most challenging problems associated with fluid-filled lens manufacturing.

When did you get involved with Occuity? Why did you feel it was the right thing for you?

I joined Occuity in February 2021 simply because I see huge potential in their technology. It also well fits with my knowledge and expertise.

What do you think of Occuity’s work so far?

I’m very impressed with how much has already been achieved in such a short period of time.

The team is fantastic, people help each other a lot and everyone is very motivated to achieve results


How do you think will Occuity’s future look like?

I see a bright future for Occuity! There is a high demand for non-invasive diagnostic instruments in healthcare and Occuity has the right technology to fill that gap.
