Daniel has worked in the medical device field for over 40 years, starting as a Respiratory Physiologist at Guys Hospital working both in clinical and research labs and on clinical trials. Those early days involved the use of many novel techniques that are now available in general practice.
Daniel then moved to a commercial organisation to exploit one of the new techniques as a saleable product. This enabled him to gain international experience as a product manager, subsequently leaving to be a founding director of Micro Medical Ltd. As Managing Director he grew the business over 20 years achieving a British Design Award for its innovative Micro Spirometer and a Queens award for export before a trade sale to Viasys Inc in 2005.
Subsequently, Daniel has worked as an independent consultant, helping develop medical products to both CE and FDA requirements, as well as acting as a non-executive director for various MedTech companies.
