The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to get hands-on in managing Occuity’s HR and Recruitment processes for an exciting medical device manufacturer based here in Reading.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
• Managing a company’s appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
• Ensuring that a company’s procedures comply with employment regulations
• Managing and training the Occuity team
• Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
• Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
• Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
• Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
• Supporting recruitment, hiring and initial interviews
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in HR
• A firm understanding of labour and employment law.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across different departments.
• MS Office competency, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Good time management and organizational skills to meet timescales and deadlines
• Managing any necessary employee training
• Flexible and adaptable in employee relations, recruitment, and retention
• Strong communication skills
• Planning events and outings
