For the series “a chat with the team”: Rayhaam Kashif, Digital Marketing Intern

This summer Occuity welcomed three new interns, Rayhaam being one of them. She spent her time closely working with the marketing department to ensure any news updates both internal and external were reciprocated to the world through social media platforms and the company's website.

We asked Rayhaam to reflect on her experience at Occuity and what product excites her the most, here are her responses:

"My last 6 weeks have been immensely rewarding on many levels. Although my time at Occuity was short I was fortunate enough to learn several new skills as well as get exposure to a professional working environment.

I was introduced to copywriting and can now effectively create impactful blogs and social media content from draft to final versions. I also learnt how to use a number of new software programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Wix and Zoho. A high point of the internship was the positivity seen and felt amongst employees, with everyone willing to offer support, help and expertise. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone at Occuity wholeheartedly for welcoming me and providing me with invaluable knowledge as well as a great time."

What do you think of Occuity’s work so far?

Having worked at Occuity provided me with the best possible first-hand experience an intern could ask for. The overwhelming welcome I received from the whole team made me feel so motivated and enthusiastic about work. Its flexible working environment and workspace encouraged me to produce work to the best of my abilities. The most important aspect of Occuity's work is the vision that they work towards, to bring a revolutionary change in the MedTech world.

What is your role at Occuity and why is it important?

I am a Digital Marketing Intern at Occuity. My responsibilities include creating social media posts, creating blogs and blog cover images, writing emails and some complex website management. It is important for me as an individual from the marketing department to keep social media updated and reach as many people worldwide as we possibly can.

Which project/device are you most excited about and why?

Fortunately enough, I was able to use Occuity’s revolutionary handheld optical ophthalmic device - PM1 and was intrigued! However, I do have to admit I am extremely excited for Occuity Indigo- Glucose Monitor because, having seen people close to me suffer from diabetes and their daily struggles with finger-pricking to monitor their blood glucose levels, this device is a ray of hope for people like them.

What do you think Occuity’s future will look like?

Occuity has an exceptionally shining future because, its vision to tackle healthcare challenges shows how it aims to make a change in people’s lives, leading Occuity towards nothing but growth.
